Enjoy a relaxing seaside retreat at this centrally located Victorian cottage, providing an excellent home away from home for a family escape to the Sussex coast. The quiet shingle beach is within walking distance, perfect for a dose of fresh sea air on a brisk morning stroll, before a busy day exploring or relaxing.

This property has been extended and refurbished by the owners for 2022 and is beautifully presented to create a relaxing seaside retreat. On arrival, guests will enter the hallway with the stairs to the first floor and downstairs WC.  The light-filled lounge is to the front of the property, with its large bay window, inviting sofa and armchairs, feature fireplace with a gas effect log burner. There is a TV and DVD here, as well as a DAB radio with bluetooth and CD player, there is also the addition of a further sitting area  with a sofa and chair.  To the rear of the property, the newly refurbished kitchen/dining room has an exposed brick wall feature and patio doors which open onto the courtyard garden, it is well equipped with an oven, gas hob, microwave, built in appliances include a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. The dining table has seating for 6 .  On the first floor you will find a good sized single bedroom, spacious bathroom, further master bedroom with en-suite shower room.  Stairs  to the second floor lead up to a further king size bedroom with its own en-suite shower room.

Outside, the property enjoys an enclosed paved patio garden with raised flower beds.   There is roadside parking close to the property , subject to availability, for which one permit is supplied.

Walk 1 mile to the thriving community of Eastbourne, where you’ll find a range of attractions to keep the whole family entertained, from the impressive pier to the striking Redoubt Fortress, as well as the popular harbour. At low tide, the wide shingle beach gives way to an expanse of sand, so don’t forget your bucket and spade! Keen walkers will be in their element here with an abundance of country walks virtually on the doorstep. Access to the South Downs Way is within walking distance of the property, with the famous Beachy Head viewpoint less than 1 mile away.

The cottage is well equipped and comfortable. Its ideally located with the sea being just a shot stroll away. There are several shops nearby and 2 decent pubs. We never had any problems parking outside the cottage but given its location we didnt always use the car! We enjoyed a walk up to Beachy Head, which took about an hour. Also close by is a smRead moreall playground and a park - we enjoyed the pitch and putt! We would recommend Admiral Cottage! Hide

Super location within short walk of village shops, beach and South Downs way. Well equipped cottage. We have stayed several times to visit relatives and it is now home from home.

Admiral cottage is situated in a quiet, pleasant area of Eastbourne. Local amenities were good and a very short walk away. It proved to be roomy and comfortable for a family of five adults and one infant. Each bedroom had it's own bathroom so that was an added bonus. There was no problem finding a car space for our second car in a street nearby. EaRead morestbourne centre was a 30 minute stroll away along the pleasant promenade. All in all a lovely cottage. Hide

A lovely cottage very clean and welcoming. Very spacious accommodation lovely touches with original paintings and nicely decorated. Thank you for the milk cake and roses on arrival. A good location near 2 great pubs serving good food and local shops all within a short walk. Will be booking again in the future.

Admiral Cottage was a fantastic place to stay - clean and comfortable with lovely airy rooms. Location is excellent - close to amenities and the seafront. Highly recommended.

The cottage was absolutely perfect for two couples. Plenty of room and privacy in two master bedrooms with en-suite, a very well equipped kitchen, and an excellent location with two pubs and shops within walking distance. Thank you for the milk and cake on arrival, and the beautiful roses in the kitchen. We would definitely stay again!

This is a comfortable and well equipped house in a great location to access the South Downs Way. There are two pubs that both serve food, a metro supermarket and an artisan baker within a five minute walk. A comfortable and well-equipoped cottage, suitable for 4 or 5 people, in a quiet residential area.
