Conveniently located on the main road leading into the small seaside town of Seaford, on the edge of the South Downs National Park, this cottage is within easy reach of the famous Seven Sisters Country Park and Birling Gap, and the nearby beach, shops, pubs and restaurants. Keen walkers and cyclists can explore the many trails that the South Downs have to offer. Eastbourne is a short drive away with its wide range of restaurants, shops and leisure facilities, whilst the City of Brighton is a shopper’s paradise offering boutique shopping combined with fantastic places to eat and drink. Children will love exploring nearby Drusillas Park or why not enjoy a stroll around the pretty village of Alfriston, home to Alfriston Clergy House, the first property to be bought by the National Trust.

Enter this stylish mid nineteenth century flint cottage into the hallway, where there is space for dropping off coats and boots. Walk through to the wonderfully light and airy lounge which offers the ideal place to relax after a long walk or visits to local historic towns and villages, on the comfy sofa and armchairs. On chilly evenings light the wood burner and curl up with a glass of wine to plan the following day's adventures or watch a movie on the Smart TV/DVD. Excellent location and very regular buses to Eastbourne and Brighton. Lots to see in the area and some good local eateries and take aways that deliver for small cost.

Excellent location for walking the Severn Sisters and coastline. The public transport to Eastbourne and Brighton is very efficient and we did not need to use the car. Beds very comfortable and we had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday in Sussex.

Great location especially if you like walking and cycling. Bus stop right outside with regular buses in both directions. Thoughtfully equipped, very spacious on the ground floor, nice to have a garden and patio. Very pleasant sitting outside. Having a downstairs loo was very useful. Lovely cosy, clean cottage. Good location with regular buses is great as we dont drive. Have been here three times now and wouldnt hesitate to book again.

Although the cottage is comfortable, with reasonable amount of space and pretty much all you will need. Unfortunately the edge of the cottage is only 2m from the a busy road, the impact of which is compounded by a close set of traffic lights due to single file traffic over a narrow bridge

A very nice and comfortable place, basically clean but really well equipped.!SELECTED! A massive thanks to the staff at Holiday Cottages for their help!ENDOFSELECTED!. The place is ideally located but there is some noise from the traffic from the A 259.

Our 4th stay at Chyngton Cottage so that's recommendation enough. The cottage is clean, well equipped and comfortable and the garden a sun trap. It's in a fabulous location for walking the Seven Sisters to Beachy Head and Eastbourne (bus back), or to the lovely village of East Dean (bus back). There's a lovely walk to the delightful village of AlfrRead moreiston . Good bus service from the cottage (2 minutes walk) either way to Brighton or Eastbourne. We would thoroughly recommend this cottage. Hide

Lovely, well equipped cottage in a great location for exploring the area. Public transport to both Brighton and Eastbourne was great. However, we found the traffic noise was quite intrusive at times, particularly in the smaller bedroom, which spoilt our overall enjoyment of the property.
