Featuring nautical details and a chic seaside theme throughout, this traditional fisherman’s cottage is the ideal spot to unwind on a coastal holiday. The property comfortably welcomes three and would be perfect for a little family or a small group of friends.

Whilst retaining traditional features such as exposed cobblestone brickwork, old wooden doorframes and low ceilings, the cottage has been modernised to a contemporary standard. A bright and stylish kitchen flows into a handy dining area where everyone can easily sit down to eat, before retiring to the cosy living room to watch a DVD. Heading up the cottage-style staircase to the first floor, you’ll find a classic double bedroom featuring a wrought-iron bedstead and quaint decor, and on the third floor, you’ll find a snug single room nestled in the property’s eaves. The bathroom can be found on the first floor and boasts a luxurious roll-top bath, as well as a standalone shower and WC.

Centrally located, the property lies around half a mile from the centre of Eastbourne. Here you’ll find a wide range of shops and restaurants, as well as an independent theatre venue and a 70-year-old working cinema. Explore the indie hub of Little Chelsea (1.5 miles) and enjoy vintage shopping or a stop in a vegan cafe, or head down to Eastbourne Borough Market (1 mile) on Wednesdays to enjoy local East Sussex produce and wares. Within a short walk from the property, you’ll find yourself at Eastbourne Beach (300 meters), which boasts a traditional pier and a bustling bandstand. Enjoy fresh fish and chips whilst wandering the pier’s arcade, or head down later in the evening to call at the town’s main nightclub.

Sail Loft is a cute and cosy cottage well situated near the seafront and shops and cafes - it is very clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and the major bonus of secure parking just a few yards away. The main downside is the alley where it is located - people do pass right outside the sitting room window but it wasn't particularly noiRead moresy and this could be helped by installing a venetian blind but the big issue is the bins and the rubbish which was strewn everywhere Hide

My partner and I stayed here for a long weekend. We booked very last minute and Mrs Norris was incredibly helpful, giving me a couple of calls to check everything and letting us check out late. She was also brilliant to recommend us a few places - Harry Ramsden's for fish and chips + La Locanda Del Duca for awesome Italian food. Lovely little cottage, sensitively renovated and well equipped. It can be noisy from passers-by, as the front door is straight into the sitting room, directly off a little roadway. The private parking is excellent, as street parking almost impossible.

This is a charming little cottage, perfect for being within walking distance of the beach, promenade and town, and also within easy driving distance of other places of interest. We very much appreciated the owners welcome package and contact to make sure everything was OK for us. We really enjoyed our stay.
