Active family or friends, with the dog in tow too, will fit right in with this perfect blend of contemporary and historical. This lovely cottage spreads over three floors, inviting you to socialise and dine in an open-plan living space, and retire upstairs in comfort.  Enjoy either village life, with its historic pub and independent shops, or the vibrant town centre and beach, just a mile away. Step out of the front door and decide each day whether it’s the beach, some retail therapy or an invigorating walk.

The clever design of the cottage brings you together to enjoy anecdotes and memories, and to plan each day - yet you can easily relax in your own space. From the large kitchen table, choose to step up to comfy sofas or step out on to the patio area for a morning coffee or evening drink. Plenty of light floods through the windows to accentuate the light tones and wood flooring which harmonise with the exposed cobbled wall, wooden beams and wood burner - retaining the character and charm of this delightful flint cottage. Please note that both rooms on the top floor, reached via a cottage-style staircase, have sloping ceilings and reduced head-height.

Set in the oldest village of Eastbourne, you choose the pace of each fun day. Stay local to explore Motcombe park and lake, visit Manor Gardens, and refuel at the 12th-century pub or one of the independent cafes. Eastbourne town centre offers a vibrant shopping experience, theatre and Towner Art Gallery, and down on the 3-mile wide shingle beach you can explore the Lifeboat Museum and historic Wish Tower. It also has a charming Victorian pier. And when you need to clear the mind and be at one with nature, scenic Birling Gap is a joyful 2-mile walk.

A lovely cottage in the old town in Eastbourne. It does not have any off road parking but there was always space to park outside and in the nearest street close by as the road itself is a very narrow cul-de-sac. The open plan living and dining area is charming. The small garden area is lovely and just big enough to play ball with a dog. The stairs Read morein such an old cottage are quite steep and the bathroom is on the third floor, but there is a downstairs toilet. It was clean and comfortable Hide

The cottage was in a central location, easy parking on the road and looked stunning to the eye, unfortunately when looking deeper it was very dirty in places and overpriced.

Excellent location especially with a dog as the park is so close. Waitrose very handy as is the pub, also dog friendly. Cottage is well appointed and has everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Great cottage. Comfy beds. Gorgeous bathroom. In the old town. Bit of a walk, but lovely through the park to Eastbourne Town, seaside etc... parking on street was easy too. Much enjoyed.

A lovely little cottage in the Old Town. We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage had everything we needed but it would have been better if there was a walk-in shower instead of a bath. All in all, we had a relaxing few days in Eastbourne.

Nice quirky cottage in a good area with parking right outside the door. Kitchen well equipped. Small patio area. A handy Waitrose close by. Lamb Inn round corner. Some small grassy areas for dogs close by and bigger parks not too far away. Beach about 45- 60 minute walk.

Lovely little cottage in a great location. Handy for buses to Brighton and The Lamb Inn, a lovely old pub and two minutes from a large Waitrose store. A nice outside space for warm summer evenings, clean, nice decor and extremely comfortable beds. Fabulous, loved it.

Lovely cottage, very comfortable and a pleasant holiday. Would recommend for couples and young families. Not suitable for older people as stairs are quite steep and there are coombed ceilings on top floor. We liked it, but stairs too steep for us and it is hard to avoid banging your head to go to the main bathroom on top floor.

washing facilities would not suit anyone with mobility issues. Good location. Nothing in the house that we usually find- salt, sugar, oil tea coffee and a welcome cake/bottle of wine has been the norm.
